We started from scratch with the Haycock Manor Hotel project, laying down a resin-bound walkway to begin with – complete with six kerbs for good edgings. We then formed runways (the section cars use to drive to and from a parking bay), before laying down gravel over the main parking area. Gravel was chosen due to drainage requirements.
We also resurfaced the hotel’s entrance roadway, leading into the car park off London Road. Six drains were installed around the car park to aid drainage, along with ductiles for metric cables and CCTV wiring.
In accordance with the hotel’s requirements, we marked out five disabled parking bays, which are larger in width than the other bays.
The project was completed in several stages in order to minimise disruption to the hotel’s staff and customers.
