Footway Surfacing for Nassington Parish Council

Project Details

  • Footway surfacing
  • Church Road, Nassington
  • Completed in four days

Project Description

We worked with the Nassington Parish Council on this off-road footway near to Church Road that was originally just a grass walkway. We extended its width by 2m, then excavated to a depth of 250mm.

At this point, we laid a limestone sub base, clean aggregates for drainage, and finally a 100mm-thick type-one granite aggregate as a top surface. We compacted this surface to make it suitable for prams and wheelchairs.

Not only is this surface smooth, it remains permeable to benefit drainage.
